How to rotate a PDF

Drop the PDF and use Rotate all left or right. If only some pages are sideways — common with scans — use the rotate buttons on each page, or tap pages to select them and rotate just those.

The rotation is saved in the file: the PDF opens the right way up in any reader, on phones, computers and printers, not just on the screen of whoever rotated it.

Rotating doesn’t touch the content: text stays selectable and quality is unchanged, because the page isn’t redrawn — the PDF simply records which way to show it. Also want to reorder or delete pages? Use Organize PDF.

Everything runs in your browser, with no upload. Password-protected PDFs open with the password you type here, and it never leaves your device.

Example: the handbook scanned sideways

Half the pages of a scanned handbook came out sideways because those sheets were landscape. Tap the sideways pages to select them and rotate only those to the right; the rest stay as they were. When you download, the PDF opens upright on phone, computer and printer — the rotation is saved in the file, not just on your screen.

Questions about rotating PDFs

Doesn’t rotating in my PDF reader fix it?

Usually it only changes the view on your screen. Whoever receives the file still sees the page sideways. Here, the rotation is saved in the PDF.

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes: use that page’s rotate buttons, or tap several to select them and rotate only those.

Does quality change when rotating?

No. The page isn’t redrawn; the PDF just records which way to display it.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes: tap a page to select it and use the rotate buttons that appear below.
